PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa has rewarded former legislator Dexter Nduna (Zanu PF) by appointing him to lead resource mobilisation for the ruling party targeting mining, agriculture and other business enterprises.

Zanu PF spokesperson Christopher Mutsvangwa told NewsDay yesterday that Mnangagwa appointed Nduna chairperson of the resource mobilisation and revenue generation committee for the party.

“Nduna was appointed by Mnangagwa during last week’s central committee meeting. He is the chairperson of the resource mobilisation and revenue generation committee,” he added.

Nduna said he was happy with his appointment.

“I am happy with the appointment and I am now getting back to business because our President Cde Mnangagwa wants results as soon as possible. My team and I will be touring each province and see the best way forward we can mobilise for the party,” he added.

Nduna said they were targeting mining, agriculture and some business enterprises as they seek to mobilise funds for the party.

The former Chegutu West MP last year donated 60 heifers and five bulls to Mnangagwa, praising him for being an astute leader.

Nduna said Mnangagwa had improved living conditions for mine workers in Chegutu by availing an affordable housing scheme.
