Keep faith in tough economic times: Zim prophet

King urged church leaders in Zimbabwe to preach the power of faith to congregants to help fight the vices caused by the economic meltdown.

CHRIST in Action Ministries founder Apostle Trevor King has called on citizens to keep faith in God to fight the dire consequences of depression caused by economic hardships.

King, who has travelled internationally and opened branches in Asian countries like China and Hong Kong told Standard Style that failure to maintain faith during life challenges brought by the country's economic decline will have "unrepaired damage" to citizens and in particular the future generation.

"The economic challenges have seen Zimbabweans turning into a zombie nation where youths are continuously intoxicated with drugs," King said.

"We are witnessing suicides almost on a daily basis, marriage break-ups, a rise in criminal activities and disintegration of family’s ties among other vices. When in an economic situation like ours people lose hope and depression becomes a daily experience to many."

Added King: " During tough economic times there is need to keep faith and believe you me it helps people face unemployment, poverty, anxiety. Faith is the best medicine in fighting the vices we are witnessing today."

King urged church leaders in Zimbabwe to preach the power of faith to congregants to help fight the vices caused by the economic meltdown.

"Personally l feel there is need to instill spiritual healing in millions of tormented souls in the country," he said.

In 2017 King travelled to India where he reportedly wooed multitudes in that country after he was invited as a guest speaker at a crusade organised by more than 50 churches.
